Jewel orchids are mostly grown for their spectacular foliage. Most species of jewel orchids produce insignificant flowers but a few, such as Ludisia discolor, produce spikes of small but attractive white and yellow flowers and these are also pleasantly fragrant.

Bullhorn Acacia .... Acacia cornigera [family: Fabaceae], is a swollen-thorn acacia native to Mexico and Central America. The common name of "bullhorn" refers to the large, enlarged, hollowed-out swollen thorns that occur in pairs at the base of leaves, and resemble the horns of a steer.
